iTunes Store offers free audiobooks, but there is no search. I stumbled upon a free Magic Tree House this weekend!
Dogpile has a nice search for audio formats (try "Anthony Trollope" for e.g. You'll find many free downloads)

NPR a colossle list of podcasts available from NPR. I particularly recommend Story of the Day and Science Friday
A huge amount of podcasts are also available for free through the iTunes store (they have a lot of content from NPR)
